The Studio
Forager Studio are interior design specialists based in Queenstown. With a wealth of experience across all design genres, we work on projects throughout New Zealand, delivering tailored design solutions to both residential and commercial clients.
After studying in New Zealand, founder Jess Blair spent time working overseas gathering precious experience and inspiration in Holland and the UK. Settling in the Whakatipu basin, Forager Studio has grown into a multi-disciplinary design studio with a diverse portfolio of hotel, hospitality, workplace, retail, healthcare, and residential projects.
Our talent for finding and weaving together materials sees us with a portfolio of beautifully functional, yet thoughtful interior spaces.

1. Initial Consultation & Site Visit
Understanding your ambitions for the project helps us discern exactly how we can support you and add value to your project. We strategically listen, and ask questions to help us chart a course for your project. For some projects a site visit is paramount as it allows us to place ourselves in the space users shoes and gain vision for a spaces potential.
2. Brief Creation & Fee agreement
Based on consultation we create a tailored plan for your project taking into account your needs, desired outcomes and our expertise on what it will take to get you the best result possible. This includes a fee estimate for each stage so you can have total clarity on your investment and outcomes.
3. Research & Conceptual Design
We’ve earned our name based on our ability to gather and source incredible ideas for our clients space’s. We research, source collate ideas into look books to ensure we are on the right track before creating conceptual ideas for your review.
Design becomes more collaborative as we perfect and refine the space, selections and materials into a complete solution that you’re proud of. Often 3D renders and material flat-lays come into play so we can help you visualise the end result.
We collate your selections into detailed material schedules, and ensure all documentation for consent and construction is ready for pricing and your trades-people.
Quality execution is key, and we can assist with project management through site visits, service co-ordination, trades sourcing and site inspections.
To help set you up for success we bring together the final details to achieve space perfection. This can include interior styling, artwork sourcing, botanicals, and window treatment measure and supply.
